As a leading advisory and consulting firm, BAR provides clients within the commercial financial sector and public and development sectors with insightful analysis of complex issues. We have been involved in economic and statistical analysis for over a decade – feeding into various policy debates within South Africa and in other countries in Sub-Saharan Africa. Our advisory and consulting capability spans a broad field including economics, finance, statistics and a host of social sciences.
Our consultants and associates are highly-qualified and have several years experience of applying their skills to practical business and social challenges. Our project teams provide advisory/consulting services to multinationals, regional institutions, government (local, provincial and national) and more recently, to non-governmental organisations. We offer expert economic analysis, econometric and statistical modeling, investments appraisal and feasibility studies, financial sector advisory services and policy design. We also offer training in structured finance, privatization and commercialization corporate governance, parastatal reform & outsourcing, shipping & maritime, natural resources and environmental economics and monitoring and evaluation studies.
We currently work with a professional staff compliment of more than 20 individuals, consisting of consultants and associates. These include 3 highly skilled Ph.D. in economists and econometrics and more than 10 other individuals with advanced degrees.
